Media development action with informed and engaged societies
After nearly 28 years, The Communication Initiative (The CI) Global is entering a new chapter. Following a period of transition, the global website has been transferred to the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits) in South Africa, where it will be administered by the Social and Behaviour Change Communication Division. Wits' commitment to social change and justice makes it a trusted steward for The CI's legacy and future.

Co-founder Victoria Martin is pleased to see this work continue under Wits' leadership. Victoria knows that co-founder Warren Feek (1953–2024) would have felt deep pride in The CI Global's Africa-led direction.

We honour the team and partners who sustained The CI for decades. Meanwhile, La Iniciativa de Comunicación (CILA) continues independently at cila.comminitcila.com and is linked with The CI Global site.

SummaryText

The Yale Forum on Climate Change & The Media is an online publication and forum of Yale University, Connecticut, United States, to foster dialogue on climate change among scientists, journalists, policymakers, and the public. The Yale Forum is an initiative of the Yale Project on Climate Change, directed by Dr. Anthony Leiserowitz of the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies.

The Yale Forum seeks to provide print, broadcasting, and online reporters and editors with timely and credible information on climate change. The Forum intends to include useful media resources on climate change causes, consequences, and solutions; it also analyses and discusses the process by which climate change is communicated through traditional and new media. In the changing media environment, The Yale Forum defines "media" to include diverse educational and communications venues such as museums, the arts, and music, along with traditional news media and digital new media. The Yale Forum has two RSS feeds: Articles and News Notes.
