Ghana Sustainable Change Project Malaria Materials

Designed for mothers, fathers, and communities, these posters and brochures encourage the use of insecticide-treated bed nets, provide information on Artesunate-Amodiaquine as the drug of choice to treat malaria, and promote couples (primarily females) to seek intermittent preventive treatment (IPT) during pregnancy. These malaria prevention and control materials were produced as part of the Ghana Sustainable Change Project, implemented by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) as part of the President's Malaria Initiative (PMI), in collaboration with the Academy for Educational Development (AED, now FHI360), from 2004 to 2009. The project worked to improve the health of Ghanaians through the use of communication and social marketing initiatives, including developing and implementing behaviour change communication (BCC) activities in malaria as well as in other high priority public health sectors, with an emphasis on interpersonal communication at the district level and below.
