Administered by One World Media, United Kingdom (UK), these awards aim to recognise outstanding media coverage of the developing world and the unique role of journalists and filmmakers in increasing cultural understanding and promoting fairness and justice worldwide. The goal is to encourage excellence in media coverage that supports a greater understanding between developing and developed countries. The awards recognise the unique role of the media in bridging this divide and communicating the breadth of social, political, and cultural experiences of people across the world.
