The organisation provides training in technology for doctors to conduct research on HIV/AIDS as well as to empower community educators and other stakeholders to appropriately respond to HIV/AIDS. TWB is represented in 18 Nigerian states and in several communities.
During the launch of the organisation in 2002 it convened two teacher conferences to focus on teacher training, HIV/AIDS education, information communication technology (ICT) development and professional outreach in order to improve the quality of education in Nigeria. The organisation launched the Head Teachers Training (HTT) Programme on HIV/AIDS, where school head teachers are being trained to serve as counsellors and mentors to peer educators in schools.
