SEEMO Human Rights Photo Award
The South East Europe Media Organisation (SEEMO) is seeking entries for its annual Human Rights Photo Award, as part of its annual BETA Photograph of the Year competition.
SEEMO will award a prize, a golden plaque, for the best human rights-related photograph shot in South East Europe. Up to five photographs taken during 2009 may be submitted per applicant. Photos should be in 300dpi resolution and JPEG format. The prizes will be EU1,000 for first place, EU750 for second place, and EU500 for third place. Special awards will also be given.
An exhibition of the winning photographs and selected works will open at the New Moment Gallery in Belgrade, Serbia, in the second half of May 2010. The French Culture Center will grant a special prize to a photographer from Serbia. The prize consists of a visit to the International Photo Journalism Festival held in the French city of Perpignan from August 27 to September 8 2010. Candidates for this prize can be up to 25 years old and must have a basic knowledge of French.
